Thomas Stamford RAFFLES. THE SCARCE ATLAS VOLUME to accompany the second edition text, with 22 additional plates, mainly of Javanese antiquities and including double-page plates of the Hindu temples at Brambanan (sic) and Boro Bodor (sic), and the first edition vignettes printed separately. John Walker's 1817 map and the original engravings are printed from the first edition plates. The work was advertised by John Murray in 1830 and the plates most likely printed then, but of 96 plates advertised only 92 were published, ultimately by Bohn in 1844 in an edition of probably 900 copies only. Bastin & Brommer pp.5-7, notes 80-90, 109. (5)
