A Japanese ivory okimono of a fisherman, signed Isshin, 19th Century
standing upon rockwork, carved wearing a string vest under a short robe, a grass apron tied around his waist and a cloth hat upon his head, holding a tall fishing rod in his left and the robe tie of the woven basket to his feet in the other, incised signature to base -- 10in. (25.4cm.) high.
