A group of four Japanese Netsuke, 19th Century
three of ivory: six Shojo fanning each other and drinking from a large sake cup, signed Hojitsu; a reveller clutching a sake cup and bottle; three men seated around a tray of food, signed Norishige; the last of wood with five Shojo standing on a rocky surface lifting up a disc over their heads -- 1¾in. (4.7cm.) long max. (4)

Provenance
The first, signed Hojitsu, was sold in these Rooms, 8th June 1977, lot 105. Ex Philadelphia Museum, collection number 29--26-64.
