A Japanese silver stem bowl, Meiji (1868-1912)
with deep rounded sides rising to the high slanted shoulders and everted rim, supported on a spreading stem foot, with a gilt kiku mon flanked by incised foliate sprays, the foot with impressed marks -- 8¾in. (22.2cm.) diam.
