A Chinese gilt-bronze buckle, 19th century
of rectangular form, the convex side comprising an articulated central projecting panel with a full faced dragon flanked by to similar panels each with a writhing dragon, framed by key-fret and wave patterns, the reverse with a belt hook and incised with a foliate floral scroll -- 3 1/8in. (8cm.) wide.
