the vase of tapering lozenge form rising to a tapering neck with a projecting faceted rim, the sides carved with a register of archaistic taotie masks flanked by stylised dragons above a border of inverted blades enclosing stylised confronting dragons above a foliate design, the exterior covered with an ivory-cream glaze stopping short of the footrim -- 13¾in. (34.9cm.) high, wood stand.
