A Chinese 'iron-rust' tripod censer, 18th century
of compressed globular form with a short wiasted neck rising to the lipped rim surmounted by a pair of everted upright loop handles, supported on three short mammiform feet, the exterior covered with a slightly metallic russet glaze imitating bronze continuing over the mouth rim, the interior and base of the supports unglazed -- 4 3/8in. (11.1cm.) diam.
