Two Chinese painted pottery models of bactrian camels, Tang dynasty (618-907)
the first in a striding pose and the second standing four-square both on a rectangular plinth, each with the head raised, bulging eyes and an open mouth revealing the teeth, laden with packboards, skeins of silk and saddle bags -- max. 13½in. (34.3cm.) high. (2)
