"Interestingly, this bottle bore absolutely no relation to the one in the big Richebourg tasting as it displayed none of the geranium and odd floral aromas that detracted noticeably from the nose. In this case, while there was plenty of the '97 ripeness, it was more elegant and refined and while not fully mature, headed that way quickly. The rich, sweet and full-bodied flavors possess good muscle and solid if not sensational depth. In sum, this is a quality '97 that should benefit from another 2 to 5 years in the cellar."
