You've been & gone & done it!/My '....' was surely bad enough but this has "fairly" won it!../O Hacker! R.A. Hacker! Why drive me to the "work 'us"?/You might have left my "pitch" above my Piccadilly Circus./O Hacker! "David" Hacker! The inscription on the reverse appears to be addressed to the artist Arthur Hacker, R.A. (1858- 1919), who was elected a full academician in 1911. His diploma work was entitled A wet night at Piccadilly Circus, (no.28).
