According to research the present watch represents one of approximately 75 pieces produced in yellow gold, of which around 33 are known to have appeared at auction to date.
The dial fits into the second series of dial design for the reference 2597 with gold batons rather than the previous combination of black enameled and gold numerals.
This watch appears to have been originally sold by Lane Crawford, the renowned Hong Kong jewelers and retailers, who supplied the gold bracelet.
