"Complex aromas soar from the glass yet the flavors are soupy and the acid is poking through the flavors and as is the alcohol on the finish. The wine is rich and mouth coating but the warmth of the alcohol on the finish mars what is otherwise excellent complexity. I would drink this over the next 5 years as I don't see the balance improving. Consistent notes." BH, Jan. 1, 2005
