"The 1988 Vosne-Romanee Les Chaumes has wonderfully deep, rich, luscious, berry fruit intertwined with the scent of herbs and spicy oak. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered, so there is no chance of losing any flavor between the barrel and bottle. Full bodied, intense, and silky, this beautiful wine should drink extremely well for the next 7-8 years. Unfortunately, only 100 cases were made-for the world. Faurois is a great winemaker, and has been remarkably consistent in recent vintages. If you are fortunate enough to find the wines of Jean Faurois, you will rarely be disappointed, as this man is a meticulous craftsman whose handcrafted wines provide extraordinary pleasure."
