Composition

This is an unusually fine example of Guiragossian's later work. Compared to the previous lot, the canvas is crowded with vertical lines, elongated arabesques which powerfully evoke, through a remarkable restriction of means, a dense group of human beings. The rich colours bring a rhythm and because they are faceless, the purged bodies carry the expression.
