AN ASSEMBLED WORCESTER BLUE-SCALE PART DESSERT SERVICE
CIRCA 1780, blue pseudo Chinese Fretwork marks
Each painted with loose bouquets reserved within variant shaped cartouches edged with gilt scrolls, comprising:
Two scalloped saucer dishes, the central medallion with three yellow-centered purple flowers, 7¾ in. (19.8 cm.) diameter
A similar scalloped saucer dish, the cartouches less richly gilt, 7½ in. (19 cm.) diameter
A slightly smaller example, 7 in. (17.8 cm.) diam.
A scalloped saucer dish painted with sunflowers, the cartouches lacking their gilding, 7¾ in. (19.8 cm.) diam.
A serpentine lozenge-shape dish, 10 in. (25.3 cm.) long
A kidney-shape dish, the flowers suspended on long stems as garlands, 11 1/8 in. (28.3 cm.) long
together with:
A WORCESTER KAKIEMON COFFEE-POT AND COVER, similarly dated and marked, painted in underglaze blue, iron-red and green and enriched in gilt with a variation of the Kempthorne pattern, 8¾ in. (22.3 cm.) high overall (8)
