19TH CENTURY
The king and queen with multi waisted knopped stems and husk finials
The king -- 3½in. (8.3cm.) high; the pawn -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) high
Together with a German softwood 'Toy' chess set, late 19th century, the kings, queens and bishops with painted faces; the king -- 3¼in. (8.2cm.) high; the pawn -- 1¾in. (4.5cm.) high
