Based on Count Brühl's plat-de-ménage, modelled as either a Chinoiserie figure riding a hen side-saddle, a mustard pot on her lap, or a cruet jug formed as a figure astride a rooster, her hat as the stopper, the beak as the spout

The original of the above models were made by Kändler in 1737 for Count von Brühl's Plat-de-Ménage. Count Heinrich Brühl was minister and favorite to Augustus III. Famed for his fashion sense, he was appointed administator of the Meissen factory from 1733 to 1763.
