Of rounded form with everted lip on short foot, the plain light grey interior painted in cobalt-blue with a single phrase of flowing kufic, repaired breaks, small areas of plaster infill
8in. (20.9cm.) diam.

Descriptif du lot

The kufic inscription across the middle reads, baraka li-sahibihi (blessing to the owner).

An extremely similar bowl in the Khalili Collection is inscribed baraka 'umila li-Saleh (blessing, made for Salih) (Ernst J. Grube, Cobalt and Lustre, London, 1994, no.30, p.42).
