NORTH IRAN, 14TH CENTURY
Of shallow conical form rising to the inverted sloping mouth, on short spreading foot, the white interior filled with leaf-motifs around a concentric six-pointed star filled with similar motifs, partly on a blue ground, the points of the star linking six similar drop-shaped panels, a blue band of similar leaf-motifs around the interior of the rim, the exterior with a broad band of blue dots and black dashes occasionally with a blue stylised character, a band of stylised naskh inscription around the rim, minimal repair to rim, very slight scattered silvery iridescence
