Another smaller group of vessels from the same service was sold in these rooms on 12 October 1999, lot 221. The vessels in that service came reputedly from the collection of Atabaig 'Azam, Mirza 'Ali Ashgar Khan Amin al-Sultan, last prime minister of Nasir al-Din Shah Qajar. Most of the vessels of both sets have the same name 'Alexi Roman' written in red nasta'liq under almost every piece denoting the name of the original patron. It has not been possible to identify him.

The service as offered comprises:
One large round serving bowl with a seated man and musician
Six shallow soup dishes
Two dinner plates with mounted figures and attendants
Three smaller plates with mounted figures
Six small side plates
Two bonbon dishes with seated musicians
Three teacups with their saucers
Two additional teacups with seated figures and floral sprays
Two cusped oval occasional dishes
Four dessert plates
Except where stated otherwise, each plate is painted with a single standing or seated figure.
