AN INDIAN EMERALD, RUBY AND DIAMOND INSET GOLD PENDANT
PROBABLY DECCAN, FIRST HALF 19TH CENTURY
Of inverted palmette form, the face with a central flat-cut oval diamond within a rosette of diamond petals with emerald insterstices, within a double emerald leaf and continuous ruby border with three larger flat-cut diamonds, the gold reverse worked in repoussé with a central vase issuing scrolling leafy tendrils within a similar narrow border, suspension loops on the shoulders, peandant pearl below and above, suspended on a chain of various precious and semi-precious stones with gold wire links
