AN ORMOLU-MOUNTED SÈVRES STYLE 'JEWELLED' COBALT-BLUE GROUND NINE-LIGHT CHANDELIER
Late 19th century, signed F. Boucher.
Of suspended hemispheric form, the step fluted domed cover with berried bud finial, edged by strands of faux pearls and trimmed with a band of 'jewelled' foliate scrolls, the pierced gallery issuing three candle-arms, each branch with three bobêches, set above a continuous band painted after Boucher with Bacchanalian putti at various pursuits, the lower section with pendant jewels and further flutes
25 in. (63.5 cm.) wide; 38 in. (96.5 cm.) high, including cobalt-beaded chain and fixture
