Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch ornamented with appliques in platinum and jewellery and blue grey enamel in 1908 and its subsequent sale on 10 April 1909. It is interestingly to note that the chain, "ornamented with enamel", is confirmed by the Extract as well, a highly unusual and rare fact as often such accessories were either not entered in the books or later added.

Similar enamelled pendant watches are illustrated in Patek Philippe by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, pp. 148 & 149.
