The gilt brass movement with platform lever escapement with bimetallic compensation balance, two going trains and one alarm train, en passant quarter striking, quarter repeating and alarm with three hammers onto two gongs on the backplate, small white enamel alarm disc, strike/silence lever, the white enamel dial with Breguet numerals, blued steel Breguet hands, chased and engraved foliage decorated brass bezel, the rectangular mahogany case with slightly extended base, sliding back panel revealing the movement, on engine-turned brass feet, repeating plunger and gilt brass handle to the top, movement signed and numbered

Lot Essay

Accompanied by Breguet Attestation dated 23 March 2007 confirming sale of the present carriage clock with "old style" case to M. Pairson on 30 November 1917 for the amount of 750 Francs. Furthermore delivered with the original brass key numbered 2793.
