Some with Calvet shoulder slip labels. One label stained, and three slightly tissue-stained. Levels: four base of neck and eight top-shoulder. Lot 305 nine very good labels and three slightly bin-soiled labels. Levels: seven upper, four mid/upper and one mid-shoulder. Lot 306 six capsules corroded, one damaged. Some A. Lalande & Co, some Calvet and some with La Bergerie slip labels. Five labels good and seven bin-soiled, stained and damp-affected. Levels: two base of neck, three top, two upper, three mid and two mid/low-shoulder
Lots 304 and 305 in original wooden cases
Tasting note: Most recently: glorious, deep, velvety appearance, still with youthful plummy colour; at first sniff, almost a 'clone' of the '45, spicy, whiff of tobacco. Fairly sweet, very spicy, crisp, great length, dry finish. Delicious. Dramatic but not overdone. Last tasted Nov 2005 ***** Time in hand. M.B.
