The inverted baluster body and tall neck painted in shades of iron-red, black and ochre with a bird, wings spread perched in fruiting branches, flanked by two further birds, the neck with geometric flower and ornament, the cover engraved F·S·D among scrolling foliage and flowers, the foot with a pewter mount
