The first painted in shades in blue and yellow and 'trekked' in managese with a seated figure among flowers and foliage, flanked by rockwork, the hinged pewter cover with shell thumb-piece and knopped finial, the second painted with stylised flowers between concentric lines, the hinged pewter cover with shell thumb-piece
