A WORCESTER TRANSFER-PRINTED TWO-HANDLED DOUBLE-LIPPED SAUCEBOAT

Probably inspired by a silver original, the scroll handles surmounted by oval bosses with shell moulded terminals, the reeded spout moulded with scrolls, the lobed overal body moulded with laurel-wreath panels printed in black with Men-O'-War in four vignettes, the interior printed with swans, heron and kingfisher in a wooded river landscape, painted to the interior rim in an oriental palette with stylised flowers, the moulded wreath ornament enriched in green with purple tendrils, the reeded spouts, handles and terminals enriched in a similar deep purple
