A pair of blanc-de-chine 'Marco Polo' censers and covers
Early 18th Century
The octagonal form raised on scrolling legs, each panel moulded with floral and geometrical designs, the rim mounted with four loop handles, the domed cover moulded with a pierced foliate design and with eight floral knops surrounding the central floral finial, set onto an octagonal stand raised on bracket feet and moulded with similar patterns below floral knops, the interior incised with a flower-head surrounded by a scrolling band, damage and repair, hairline crack
