The rounded sides with upright flanged rim painted vividly with a butterfly in flight amidst wind-blown stems of poppy and peony issuing from pierced rockwork, repeated to the high domed cover with cylindrical finial glazed white to the interior and centred by an underglaze blue lotus stem within a double line circle, the latter repeated to the base
