Supported on a bell shaped base enamelled with leafy meandering stems of lotus flowers enclosing bats and a stylised shou character, below a leiwen-band encircling the shoulder, all on a turquoise ground, rising to a tapering column supporting a shallow drip-pan to the centre, the exterior decorated with the bajixiang emblems including a conch, a wheel of law, a canopy, an umbrella, a lotus flower, a jar, a double-fish and a mystic knot, each tied with fluttering ribbons, continuing to a smaller pan surmounted by gilt prickets
