A Ladakh bronze figure of Manjushri
circa 14th century
Standing in rigid posture on a lotus that is placed on a square base, his raised right hand carrying the sword while the left holds a lotus stem supporting the manuscript, wearing dhoti, upavita, bejewelled and set with semi-precious stones, his face with almond-shaped eyes, elongated earlobes with circular earrings, three-leaf crown set in front of his high chignon
