4° (200 x 165mm). 316 leaves only (leaves 2R-4M4). Woodcut head- and tail- pieces and initials, some printed in red. Seven full-page engravings by Iakov Konchakovskii after drawings by Aleksei Antropov. (Some slight offsetting of engravings, some light marginal staining.) Later green moiré silk with blind-stamp decoration by Milan Manoilovich, gilt edges (extremities rubbed, upper endpaper loose, endpapers browned). Provenance: Paul M. Fekula.
THE FEKULA COPY IN A GREEN MOIRé SILK BINDING. Illustrations by Konchakovskii after Antropov, who was main artist at the Holy Synod for fifteen years and thus charged with illustrating all their publications. He was also a contributor to numerous other large projects, including the Church of St. Andrew in Kiev, designed by Rastrelli. Fekula 391 (this copy).
