LISITSKII, Lazar Markovich, 'El' (illustrator; 1890-1941) -- Hand-coloured lithographic title-page for Moyshe Broderson's Sihat Holin. A Prager Legende. [An Everyday Conversation. A Legend of Prague]. Moscow: Leben, 1917.
2° (280 x 227mm). Hand-coloured lithograph. (Light even browning, three small holes and light wear and soiling in the margins.)
THE TITLE-PAGE FOR ONE OF LISITSKII'S RAREST WORKS, ALMOST CERTAINLY HAND-COLOURED BY THE ARTIST. Broderson's Sihat Holin was published in an edition of 110 copies, only a small number of which were hand-coloured, but probably not exceeding 10-20 copies. Harvard and Busch-Reisinger Museums, El Lissitzky 1917/1.
