Square 4° (285 x 290mm). Title after B. Zvorykin, illustrated throughout with photo-reproductions, many mounted on brown card, as issued. (One illustration with light wear to the edges.) Original printed paper wrappers designed by B. Zvorykin bound in a contemporary orange and gold brocade binding by Grinberg, front cover with a panel of orange sheep titled in gilt and with gilt and inlaid leather flower designs, edges gilt, marbled endpapers (extremities rubbed). Provenance: ?Grand Duchess Kseniia Alexandrovna (binding; bookplate removed) -- Paul M. Fekula.
FIRST EDITION in an elegant binding by Grinberg of Moscow, possibly for Kseniia Aleksandrovna (for a similar binding see lot 254). The title and original paper covers were designed by Zvorykin. Fekula 6136 (this copy).
