Crossbanded overall in rosewood and satinwood, the rectangular moulded cornice above an arcaded frieze and a pair of doors with oval panels lined with brass chicken-wire backed with green pleated silk, enclosing two adjustable mahogany shelves above four mahogany-lined drawers and a secretaire drawer with hinged-flap enclosing four pigeon-holes and four mahogany lined drawers, above a hinged flap enclosing four satinwood-veneered cedar and mahogany-lined drawers with ivory knob handles, on square tapering legs with brass caps and castors, the handles apparently original
