Berthe au grand pied (vers 1275) est la mise en roman d'une légende concernant la mère de Charlemagne, racontée par une chronique en prose en 1225. Berthe ou Bertrade, dite au grand pied, épousa Pépin le Bref en 749 et fut la mère de Carloman et de Charlemagne
