The first and most notable of a family of menuisiers, Etienne Meunier had his atelier on the rue de Clery. He is particularly noted for his preference for pittoresque floral motifs. Etienne Meunier's maîtrise is apparently unrecorded. He was, however, a member of the celebrated dynasty of Menuisiers that included Jean-Baptiste Meunier (maître in 1739), Antoine (maître in 1782) and Antoine-Luc (maître in 1782).
