The flat top hood with blind fret cornice panel and inset plain columns, convex throat mouldings, with marquetry inlays to the front and panel inlays to the sides, the trunk door with lenticle (paper label to inside for Wetherfield Collection of Clocks.../No in Sale Catalogue 61/No in Illustrated Wetherfield Catalogue 44; with further Olympia exhibition label to inside backboard), the rebuilt plinth on stepped foot, the 11 in. square brass dial with engraving to the cardinal points, cherub mask and foliate spandrels to a silvered chapter ring with elaborate sword-hilt half hour markers and cross half quarter hour markers, matted centre with silvered seconds ring and ringed winding holes, with engraving around the date aperture, cut and blued steel hands, later strike/silent lever at 60, the eight day movement with five ringed pillars, replaced anchor escapement and rack strike on bell; pendulum, two weights, case key
