The vendor's father worked for LIFE Magazine and founded Time-LIFE Books. Jeremy Ross recalled that his father gave him the opportunity to photograph his rock heroes and encouraged him ...to become a photographer at an early age, and by my mid-teens, I was avidly photographing rock musicians....He taught me to do it LIFE-style, by carrying a Nikon loaded with early high speed color film and another with BW film -- all the while making lots of exposures...I first photographed Cream at my local High School in Westport, CT and again on their first farewell tour in New Haven.
