A SPANISH GILTWOOD AND PAINTED OPEN ARMCHAIR
LATE 17TH/EARLY 18TH CENTURY, POSSIBLY MAJORCAN
The padded rectangular back, arms and seat covered in red velvet, the back with a pierced acanthus cresting flanked to each side by ring-turned baluster supports with scrolled acanthus finials, with foliate-scrolled armrests on cabriole legs joined by H-shaped ring-turned baluster stretchers and terminating in hoof feet, restorations to the uprights, the fringes to the seat distressed
