Committed artist, communist and former resistance fighter, Jean Lurçat indulges in a passion for tapistry and takes residence in Aubusson in 1939. Thanks to his impetus, tapistry, that was experiencing a relative decline since the 19th century reborns. The Manufacture Pinton exists in Aubusson since 1868

Artiste engagé, communiste, ancien résistant, Jean Lurçat se prend de passion pour la tapisserie et s'installe à Aubusson en 1939. C'est grâce à son impulsion que la tapisserie qui avait connu un relatif déclin depuis le XIXème siècle renaît. La Manufacture Frangois-Pinton est active à Aubusson depuis 1868
