AN UNUSUAL PALE CELADON INSCRIBED JADE BOWL
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The steep, incurved sides intracately carved and pierced with gnarled openwork blossoming prunus branches and delicate blossoms enveloping the exterior and base, the interior gilt-incised with the "Three Friends of Winter", pine, prunus and bamboo branches around a poem framed within double borders, the translucent stone of a pale celadon tone with some opaque inclusions cleverly concealed by the gilt decoration
