A FINE AND VERY RARE WHITE JADE VASE AND COVER
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The lower section superbly carved in shallow relief with an archaistic geometric pattern, the rounded sides elegantly rising to a pair of phoenix heads, each with a loop under the neck suspending a loose ring, the upper section in the form of a baluster vase, decorated with a geometric design, the tapered sides with a pair of intertwined ribbons handles below the bevelled mouthrim; the conformed cover with a matching pattern, surrmounted by an openwork bud-form finial suspending two loose rings, the stone of even white tone
