A large celadon 'Longquan' dish, 14th century
with shallow rounded sides rising from the convex well to the everted and lipped rim, supported on a short tapering foot, the well with a moulded floral spray encircled by fluted lines at the cavetto, all covered with an olive-green glaze except for a ring burnt orange at the base -- 15¾in. (40cm.) diam.
