A Bronze Qilin formed censer, 16th/17th Century
modelled standing four square, the fierce head open mouthed to display the sharp teeth and tongue, with bulging eyes, scrolling mane and a single horn issuing from the top of its head, hinged to the chest and forming the cover for the hollow body receptacle, the body with long tail and raised scrolling designs -- 13in. (33cm.) high.
