A yellow celadon jade model of a mythical beast, 17th/18th century
the recumbent beast carved with outstretched forelegs and with the hind legs tucked under the body, the head turned towards the right with open jaws revealing the teeth, the bi-furcated tail coiled around the right haunch, with fire scrolls at the haunches, the stone of a yellow-green tone with russet inclusions -- 3in. (7.6cm.) wide, wood stand.
