An ivory figure of Guandi, 19th Century
carved seated on an elaborate chair, a tigers skin draped over the back, wearing armour under his long robes, and a long sword leaning to his left, the distinguished figure holding the strands of his long beard to the right, an open book in the other, his feet resting on two Buddhistic lion rests, raised on a rectangular base with corner supports, Xuande four character incised mark to base -- 6 1/8in. (15.5cm.) high, wood stand.
