A large circular barbed-rim paktong tray, 19th century
engraved with a central medallion enclosing a dignitary holding a crown beyond the reach of three children and a lady holding a child, standing in a fenced garden amidst trees in a mountainous landscape below an inscription, with two pairs of confronting dragons pursuing the flaming pearl above and below the medallion flanked by six immortals above cloud scrolls, the rim with phoenix amidst floral sprays -- 25½in. (64.7cm.) diam.
