A spinach jade sweetmeat set, 19th century
comprising eight dishes of trapezoidal shape with slightly flaring sides, each supported on four bracket feet, with each section decorated with a gilt and red bat in flight, and with eight cups, each with rounded sides, flaring at the rim and supported on a short foot, the stone of mottled spinach tone with black and yellowish inclusions -- dishes max. 5in. (12.6cm.) wide, cups max. 2½in. (6.3cm.) diam. (16)
